Our visit to Deans Court was wonderful. This was made so by the owners Sir Michael and Lady Jane Hanham who showed round the house and grounds taking the whole afternoon too. They entertained us to tea in their dining room. Here we had scones, jam and whipped cream followed by a choice of homemade cakes. We were full after this.

The kitchen garden was huge and must enable them to self sufficient in fruit and vegetables.

The grounds of 13 acres contained a large pond and next to it a couple of interesting trees; a Mexican Swamp Cyprus (110 feet high) and a Tulip Tree of enormous girth.
