As of September 2008 Ann is retiring as Leader. So temporarily Margaret McKenzie has taken over.

If any of the group have suggestions for further subjects this would be gratefully received
        especially if the suggestion was accompanied by an offer to give the talk !!!!!
            None of us is an expert....just keen to share our interests.
This Group meets on the last Tuesday in the month.
The venue will be the Harnham Memorial Hall unless otherwise stated.

Travel by Wilts & Dorset bus number 2 at 9.15am from bus station, entrance to Museum is free IF you are a member of Salisbury Museum.

Scratch Dials, Medieval Archaeology Standing Up   Talk by Tony Wood. There are 3 web sites to find out more about Tony and the British Sundial Society HERE & HERE & HERE. Spire Historic Group found a Scratch Dial at Teffont Evias recently and you can see it HERE.

25th August 2009 Meet at Pembroke Arms (Fovant, NOT Wilton) at 10.30.
We will look at scratch dials on St Georges, Fovant and several other churches close by.

29th Sept 2009 A visit to Penny Copland-Griffiths, Little Stowe, Mill Street, Heytsbury. BA12 0EE. For those who do not have sat-nav -- Heytsbury is on the A36, turn (L) just before the church, as if going to Tytherington. Park by the church and Penny's is opposite, the first house on the (L) in Mill Street. She will show us local archaeology finds. Please be there by 10.30 am. 10.30am
